What should I do prior to the health screening?
No Food for at least 2 hours* before the Health Screening. Plain water is allowed. However, if you have Ultrasound Liver/Abdomen as part of your package, you will be required to fast for 6-8 hours. Avoid alcohol or fatty meals 12 hours before the Health Screening.**
*Fasting was once a requirement for certain Cholesterol and Diabetes test. However, in recent years, the Ministry of Health (MOH) introduced changes to population-level Cholesterol and Diabetes screening recommendations in Singapore based on a review of local and international evidence, and the endorsement of relevant professional bodies.
**This will prevent the elevation of triglycerides (which affects your LDL levels).
Can I still take medication before the test?
For those who are on high blood pressure medications or other prescribed medications, please continue your usual routine. For those who are diabetic and on food restriction, please omit your anti-diabetic drugs for the morning.
Can I attend the screening if I am not well and/or on medication?
You should not attend the screening if you are having fever or feeling giddy.
Can I go for the screening if I am pregnant?
Pregnant ladies are not advisable to attend the health screening.
What are the benefits of the optional Comprehensive health screening packages?

Can I undergo the Urine Test or Stool Test when I am having my menstruation?
It is advisable to do these tests 5 days after the last day of your menstruation cycle.
Will all additional tests be done onsite?
All additional tests will be done onsite, with the exception of PAP Smears and Mammograms. We will help to arrange appointments for you to do these tests offsite.
What is Bone Mass Density?
A Bone Mineral Density (BMD) test measures how much calcium and other types of minerals are in your bone. This test helps your health care provider to detect osteoporosis and also, to predict your risk of bone fractures. This test can be done onsite.
What is Ultrasound Carotid Scan?
A 5 minute Carotid IMT Ultrasound Scan reveals your arterial thickness, arterial age, soft and hard plaque, and your risk of heart attack and stroke. A trained health personnel gently rubs the ultrasound probe over each side of your neck. We can see precisely how thick the artery walls are (specifically the intima and media sections), and it is this measurement that determines your risk of a heart attack or stroke. This test can be done onsite & report will be interpreted by Cardiologist.
How can Payment be made?
Payment for Optional Packages can be made via NETS, Credit Card or PayNow (via the 1doc app) on the day of screening.
How long will it takes to complete the whole screening?
It will take approximately 30 to 45 minutes per person. But it does not include waiting time on the day of the screening exercise.
When will I receive the results and how do I interpret it?
You will receive your results together with explanation and necessary recommendations within 14 working days.
What do I need to do if my results are abnormal?

Will my results be released to anyone, including my employer?
Your health screening results is strictly kept confidential. It will only be released in a de-identified grouped format to the employer for the purpose of tailoring corporate health programmes.
