From 1 December 2020, individuals who require pre-departure testing for their travels will no longer need to seek prior approval from the Ministry of Health (MOH).

The Serology Antibody Test for COVID-19 detects for the first antibodies produced by the immune system when a virus attacks. It cannot diagnose an active infection, but can determine if an individual has immunity to COVID-19.

The COVID19 PCR Swab Test screens for the presence of the COVID19 antigen in an individual. It can tell whether or not the individual has the virus, very early on.The PCR Test is mandatory for travellers prior to their departure from Singapore.

PCR tests are to be taken 48–72 hours before your scheduled flight, depending on destination. Please allocate sufficient time to do the tests and receive your test results before your departure. Travellers are responsible for checking the testing window requirements of their travel destination before scheduling their appointment.

Test Results

Your COVID-19 test results will be sent via email and reflected in your HealthHub app and TraceTogether app within 24 - 36 hours. You are advised to print this for easy reference during your travel.

3 Easy Steps to Book your COVID-19 Tests

Step 1:

Book your appointment (at your preferred clinic - refer to the clinic locations table below):

Please have the following information ready for booking submission:
● NRIC Identity card Number
● Contact number
● Email address
● Flight details - Flight number, destination and timing (PCR Test)
● Passport Number (PCR Test)

You will receive an Email and SMS confirmation after completing the booking process.

Step 2:

You will receive an Email and SMS reminder within 24 – 36 hours prior to your appointment slot.

What to bring on the day of appointment: ● Identity card and Passport
● Booking confirmation email
● Flight booking reference showing your departure flight timing (PCR Test)

Step 3:

You will receive your results of the PCR Swab Test and/or Serology Antibody Test via email within 24 – 36 hours.
Results will be also be available via Health Hub app and TraceTogether app.

Verification of overseas COVID-19 Vaccination with NIR (S$25)

You can now have your overseas COVID-19 vaccination records verified and recognised in Singapore's National Immunisation Registry (NIR).

Step 1:

Bring a proof of identification (e.g. Identity Card or Passport) and a copy of your vaccination record (translated into English, if in other languages)

Step 2:

(If required) Take the COVID-19 Serology test (S$70). Results emailed within 24 - 36 hours.

Step 3:

Upon verification of your vaccination record, and given that your Serology Test is positive, Integrated Wellness Clinic will update NIR and the record will be reflected in your HealthHub profile within 24-48 hours

FAQs (Frequenty Asked Questions)

1. Can I voluntarily take a PCR swab test to see if I have contracted COVID-19?

Yes, you may! Individuals do not require prior approval or proof of travel from the Ministry of Health (MOH) for COVID-19 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) swab testing in Singapore, as of 1 December 2020.

2.How do I pay for the COVID-19 tests?

Prices are in Singapore Dollars, inclusive of GST, and payments are to be made at the clinic.

3. Can I reschedule / cancel my secured booking?

Rescheduling: All rescheduling requests will need to be made at least 14 days prior to the secured booking date.
Cancellation: All cancellation requests will need to be made at least 14 days prior to the secured booking date. All refunds from cancellations will be refunded in the form of Integrated Wellness Clinic (iWC) credits documented via an email sent to the email address used when booking the appointment. These credits can be utilised for any iWC’s services such as health screening checks, etc. Please call 6250 7623 / email [email protected] to make the request.

4. How long does it take to get tested?

The Serology test takes approximately 30 minutes to complete. The pre-departure COVID-19 PCR swab test takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. You are advised to reduce contact with other individuals before the swab test results are released.

5. When and how will I receive my COVID-19 test result?

COVID-19 PCR and COVID-19 Serology Antibody test results will be available within 24 – 36 hours of the administration of the tests. You will receive your COVID-19 test results to the email address you provided. A text notification via SMS will be sent once your results have been delivered.

6. If I take more than one COVID-19 test, will I get my results at the same time?

If you take the COVID-19 PCR and the COVID-19 Serology Antibody test at the same time, you will receive the results at the same time.

7. What’s the difference between the COVID-19 PCR test and the COVID-19 Serology Antibody test?

The COVID-19 PCR Swab Test screens for the presence of the COVID-19 antigen in an individual. It can tell whether or not the individual has the virus, very early on. The COVID-19 Serology Antibody Test cannot diagnose an active infection, but can determine if an individual has immunity to Covid-19.

8. What if the Pre-Departure COVID-19 PCR Swab Test result is positive?

In the event that the Pre-Departure COVID-19 PCR Swab Test result is positive, we will not be able to issue a memo for fitness to travel. We will contact you to make arrangements for an urgent referral to NCID for subsequent care and management.

9. What if the Pre-Departure COVID-19 PCR Swab Test result is inconclusive?

Pre-Departure COVID-19 PCR Swab Test results may return as inconclusive. In that event, a repeat test may be conducted and is chargeable. Should this result affect your departure, Minmed and/or the appointed laboratories vendor(s) shall not be held responsible or liable for any claims, damages, losses, expenses, costs or liabilities.

10. Will my test memos that I’m provided with be accepted by my destination country?

All test memos provided are in accordance with existing guidelines from the Ministry of Health. You may request for a sample of the test memo and check with the respective destination country’s embassy. For latest information, please refer to the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority website.

3. Travellers are responsible for ensuring that the pre-departure appointment is within the testing window that is in line with your country’s destination requirement. Integrated Wellness Clinic (iWC) is not liable for any additional costs incurred should there be any rejection from the airlines, embassy and authorities. Should you need to confirm if the date you have booked is correct, please check with the respective embassy for advice.
4. Integrated Wellness Clinic (iWC) is not liable for any missed flights in the event that a delay in results delivery occur due to unforeseen circumstances.
5. Pre-Departure PCR Swab Test results may return as inconclusive. In that event, a repeat test may be conducted and is chargeable.
